Our Faith is Alive and Well

There are fewer atheists in the world today than there were in 1970. By several million! You would think that advances in technology and science would pull people away as they start to question faith, but it is the opposite. Christianity is alive and well, and not only that, it is thriving beyond its founding location. While many other religions struggle to grow beyond the place of their founder, whether that be Muhammad or Joseph Smith, Christianity has rapidly increased over the entire world. It is bigger and stronger than ever. If you look at our culture, you might feel the opposite of this. People are publicly deconstructing their faith, identifying as agnostic, or saying they are simply "spiritual" instead of being a part of a religion. Others point to the debauchery in our movies, songs, and tv shows, or even how some explicit content in our schools is being accepted. There's no doubt that the world can seem like madness. It might even seem hopeless. But at the same time, there is still a massive momentum of Christians in the United States and worldwide, leaving us reason for hope. The facts are actually different than what our eyes and ears are experiencing. I say this for you to be encouraged, or if you are not sure what to believe, to look into the Christian faith. It is not a cultural trend that will pass - things that overcome the world for thousands of years are not temporary movements. It’s important to be reminded and affirmed of that. We do not believe in trite sayings or trends, but in a faith that is rooted in facts, history, science, and logic. We believe in Christianity because even with its doubters, our faith is alive and well.
